Vermont Home Marketing (VHM) transforms an empty, cold house with a lack of perceived value, into a well cared for warm, memorable, beautifully furnished home. Statistics prove that well-maintained, occupied homes sell faster and more profitably than vacant properties. Vermont Home Marketing's Objective

Vermont Home Marketing's objective is to enhance the saleability of vacant homes by providing an insured and professionally screened Home Manager whose first priority is to maintain the property inside and out. The Home Manager is a sub-contractor, not a renter, and is ready to move out within 10 days’ notice. This proven concept dramatically reduces the property owner’s holding cost and accelerates the sale of the home.

How VHM Works

At no cost to the Realtor or the Home Owner, Home Managers and their furnishings are professionally matched to a property in order to complement and enhance specific selling features of the home to assure a more profitable sale.

  • VHM contracts with the Home Owner to convert their vacant home into a model "Show Home". VHM places a Home Manager with complete furnishings in the house until it sells. The Home Manager's priority is to help sell the property.
  • The Home Manager pays all utilities, and maintains the property inside and out.
  • The VHM contract can be cancelled with 60 days written notice from the Home Owner for any reason.
  • The Home Manager is required to show proof of liability insurance.
  • Vermont Home Marketing's interior design staff assists the Home Manager in setting up the home to assure specific selling features are enhanced. Once complete, the Home is ready for the critical Open House.
  • VHM monitors the Home Manager to assure the home is in "show-to-sell" condition at all times. If desired, a copy of VHM's report will be sent to the Home Owner.
  • Home Managers pay a small fee to Vermont Home Marketing for the opportunity to upgrade their style of living at a lower cost.
